Kyle, TX is a TREE CITY
The people of Kyle & our City Council have SAVED THE PORTER OAK because we all love our natural resources!
The Kyle Parks & Recreation Department is also pursuing the Tree City USA Designation from the Arbor Day Foundation for wonderful cities like ours. Many neighboring cities (Buda, Hutto, Pflugerville, Bastrop, Boerne, New Braunfels, etc) have been designated Tree Cities by the foundation, showing that the Hill Country cares about trees, and Kyle deserves that same recognition.

“There are ways for these developments and nature to coexist, and that’s what we’re looking for.”
“This tree symbolizes much more than just shade and traffic control; it embodies centuries of history.”
“This tree is older than the United States of America. I think we need to preserve that.”
